一、As的固定搭配
(1) such as
举例： I am fond of instruments such as Piano and flute.
(2) as to(关于，至于)
举例：There is no doubt as to his modest.
(3) as soon as
举例：I will invite you to my house as soon as i finish all decoration.
(4) as long as(只要)
举例：As long as you believe me,i will fell happy.
(5) as a matter of fact
举例：As a matter of fact, i have had a crush on you for a long time.
(6) as if/though
举例：it seems as if he will lose his mind.
She acts like a dumb as if he knows everything.
(7) as much/many as 多达...
举例：He can spend as much as 5000 Yuan a day.
(8) as far as...就目前而言
举例：As/So far as I know，he will come here next Monday.
(9)as a result，as a result of
举例：She died as a direct result of the tornado.
(10)as well
举例：Come early，and bring your brother as well.早点来，把你的弟弟也带来。
二、as的用法
1. as作介词
(1)当作+表身份/地位/人的特征名词作宾语
举例：Although he had signed a pledge of abstinence as ab adolescent, Amy was 40 years old before she chose to become a temperance activist.
He came Shanghai as a tourist.
In Evolution time,women are considered as the means of bringing peace and good sense to a war-torn word.
(2)做介词常跟如下这些词连用：be seen as; regard...as ,think...as,consider...as
2. as做连词
(1)表示时间：随着...;表示两个同时正在演变的情况
举例：As more and more people invest their money in savings certificates or money-market funds in order to earn higher interest,they are abandoning traditional low-interest investment such as passbook accounts and life insurance policies
(2) 表原因：因为,..
举例：I treat my children well as they had done the work well
(3) 表示让步：虽然，既然...
举例：Warm as it was, we stayed home.
Try as she would, he could not lift the rock
(4) 表示动作的方式;像...
举例：you need to do as i tell you to.
as做连词时相当于when，because;
3. as做比较
(1) 可做引导定语从句的关系词讲：可以等同于关系代词：表人的whom,who,that,which,when,where
举例：I like Jay Zhou as most young people do.
I will go the same time as you do.
The same teacher as taught my uncle is teaching my son now.
(2) 也可引导非限定性定语从句
举例：A report by James, recorded in the same year as the earthquake happened, tells that there were nobody when earthquake happened.
4. so as to表示目的结果
举例：He works very late so as to get award.

三、AS和like的区别
1.as的用法
一般as是作为连词出现的。既然是连词就只能带一个句子。但是由于as所带的句子与主句有很多相同的地方，所以可以使用加助动词省略的形式成为正确答案。比如：
A do ***, as B do
A can *** as B can
A is *** as B and C are
补出助动词的原则是必须和主句的类型一致，而且要时态一致。
但是如果某个as结构自己就带了时间状语，那么该as结构的时态和自己带的状语保持一致，而类型和主句保持一致。
A do *** as B did ten years ago.
2.like的用法
一般情况下，Like是作为介词出现的。既然是介词，就只能带宾语。而且宾语的类型和主句主语的类型必须保持一致。
Like A’s Book, B’s Book is red.
典型的错误为：Like A, B’s book is red.(人和人比，书和书比)
四、AS出现在考试中的形式
Because young children do not organize their attention or perceptions systematically, like adults, they may notice and remember details that their elders ignore.
(A) like adults
(B) unlike an adult
(C) as adults
(D) as adults do
(E) as an adult
选项分析：
我们注意到A选项和D选项都符合语法规则，也都和前面的children保持数的一致性，从纯语法规则上讲是都正确的。但是A存在歧义。我们不清楚like adults是和前一个分句构成整体还是和后一个分句构成整体。也就是不知道大人是在“do not organize”这个动作上和小孩一样还是在“may notice and remember”这个动作上和小孩一样。所以有歧义。好在前后两个分句的助动词不一样，所以可以使用as结构区分。因为as结构的助动词和前一个分句一致的话，就应该和前一个分句构成整体;同样，和后一个分句的助动词一致的话，就应该和后一个分句构成整体。
