例1： Along with the drop in producer prices announced yesterday, the strong retail sales figures released today seem like it is indicative that the economy, although growing slowly, is not nearing a recession.
A like it is indicative that

分析：
Along with 介词短语在句首，the strong retail sales figures是句子主语，Along with会有平行并列句子主语的作用，所以 the drop 并列的就是 sales figures，那么 released 就是ed形式作定语修饰的是主语sales figures，seem like是出现的习语，that 引导从句， although growing slowly,是 although 引导的让步状语从句，although 是个连词，连词后面跟着一个doing结构，那么这个doing结构唯一使用的前提就是although 引导的让步状语从句的主语和主句的主语一致，growing的主语是the economy,这样省略掉从句的主语就会显得更加简洁，谓语是is not nearing a recession。如果说划线部分后面跟了一个完整的句子，划线部分前面其实会发现句子的主语是figures，谓语是seem like，很明显这个地方是需要连词的，所以A选项的that是没有问题的，我们在这里给大家介绍一下seem的用法，

要注意，Seem like中的like是介词，如果不是连词的话，后面就不能跟一个完整的句子，
所以A选项排除，Seem as if /as though后面跟的是一个完整的句子，所以B选项错。
C选项可以有seem to do 的结构，而且未划线部分的主语是the economy,谓语是is not nearing a recession.所以后面是个完整的句子，所以 indicate that 这个连词是可以的。
所以C选项保留。D选项indicative 是个形容词，seem后面可以跟着形容词，但是未划线部分后面是一个完整的句子，所以需要连词排除D。E选项seem like 其中like是介词，介词后面跟一个名词没有问题，但是同样少了连词连接两个句子，所以排除E。正确答案是C.
正确句子：
Along with the drop in producer prices announced yesterday, the strong retail sales figures released today seem to indicate that the economy, although growing slowly, is not nearing a recession.
验证：
Along with 是平行并列的标志词，并列对象是句子主语 the strong retail sales figures 和 the drop，the strong retail sales figures是句子主语，released是动词ed形式做的定语，seem to indicate是句子的谓语动词，that 引导宾语从句，从句的主要the economy，谓语是s not nearing a recession.
例2：
The plot of The Bostonians centers on the rivalry between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, with her charming and cynical cousin, Basil Ransom, when they find themselves drawn to the same radiant young woman whose talent for public speaking has won her an ardent following.
A rivalry between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, with her charming and cynical cousin, Basil Ransom,
B rivals Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, against her charming and cynical cousin, Basil Ransom,
C rivalry that develops between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, and Basil Ransom, her charming and cynical cousin,
D developing rivalry between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, with Basil Ransom, her charming and cynical cousin,
E active feminist, Olive Chancellor, and the rivalry with her charming and cynical cousin Basil Ransom,
分析：
The plot 是句子主语，centers是谓语动词，on the rivalry 是介词短语， between 是出现的习语， between ……and……，而且两者要平行并列。between …with…是错的用法。所以A选项错误。B选项去掉了between和with，用的是against并列是没问题的，但是还把rivalry改成了用 rivals ，导致句意改变。an active feminist,前后都是逗号，要当做插入语，所以B选项就变成了Olive Chancellor against her charming and cynical cousin，Olive Chancellor是一个人名，cousin是一种身份，身份是不能和人名并列的，所以B排除。C选项between A and B，AB都是人名，所以先保留C。D选项between …with…是错的用法，E选项and the rivalry是一个抽象名词，和前面的具体名词也是不能并列的，所以排除E，正确答案是C。
正确句子：
The plot of The Bostonians centers on the rivalry that develops between Olive Chancellor, an active feminist, and Basil Ransom, her charming and cynical cousin,when they find themselves drawn to the same radiant young woman whose talent for public speaking has won her an ardent following.
验证：
The plot 是句子主语，of The Bostonians介词短语做定语修饰plot ，centers 是谓语动词，on the rivalry 介词短语充当的是介宾。 That引导定语从句， that在从句中充当主语，谓语是develops ，后面是between A and B。her charming and cynical cousin,两个形容词作补语，补充说明Basil Ransom，when 引导时间状语从句，从句当中 they 指的是somebody(between Olive Chancellor and Basil Ransom,)young woman whose talent 是whose引导的定语从句，has won 是谓语，her an ardent following是宾语。
