English Presessional Programmes
Presessional courses are designed for students who wish to improve their knowledge of spoken and written English in preparation for academic study at the University of Birmingham. Students with conditional offers have the option of attending one of these courses instead of retaking IELTS.
Presessional courses are only open to students who hold a University offer. They are suitable for Foundation, Undergraduate, Pre-Masters and Postgraduate students.
1、Undergraduate students with offers to study all courses
1)Students from partner universities who are studying Economics or Engineering can apply to study on intensive 6-week and 10-week EAP for undergraduates programmes.
2)All undergraduate students can apply to study on the English for Academic Purposes Presessional.
2、Postgraduates with offers to study all other courses
1)Postgraduates with conditional offers to study at all schools other than the Business School should apply to study on the English for Academic Purposes Presessional.
2) Economics students should also apply to study on theEnglish for Academic Purposes Presessional.
