1.租房场景
首先辨别是租房还是买房，For lease 还是 for sale
房子的类型有：flat, apartment, dormitory(dorm), student hotel, youth hostel)
一般房子有的家电或设施有：
stove, fridge, microwave oven, washing machine, air-condition, electric fans, radiator, electric stoves、bed, bookshelf, night table, wardrobe, cupboard, drawer, utensil, sofa, couch, coffee table
Room: bedroom, bathroom, living room, sitting room, balcony, kitchen, bedsit, studio, recreation room, garage
Money: rent, deposit, insurance, water, electricity, gas, phone bill, laundry fee
床上用品有
pillow, pillow case, bed linen, sheet, mattress, blanket, towel
房子位置：
Road(Rd.), Street(St.), lane,
门厅的叫法：hall, lobby, porch
租房的规律为：离市中心越近，房价越高，位置稍偏，价钱会比较有吸引力;但便宜的房子一般有不理想的地方：
not near the center, not near the railway station, fall from the bus stop, near the airport, noisy, shared kitchen,
insects, a stranger in the next door, have no privacy, have to prepare some repellant ,insects haunting.
另外电话询问看房子时：
Is it available now? when will it be available?)
Is there a telephone? How far is it from…….? Is it furnished?
What is the rental price? How is it cooled /heated?
Furnished:意为配备家具。
2. 课外研究场景
主要是在课外研究一些小的项目，小的调查研究，包括对学校里各个地方，食品(咖啡，小吃)等的价格的比较，这些看似不屑一顾的东西，这也是与文化背景有关系的，外国人注重人的实践能力。
这部分主要注意听力，特别关注的是研究方法、方法优缺点、研究步骤、个人观点等。
关于研究的：
research, survey, investigate, investigation, investigator, questionnaire, interview, observation, respondent, data, statistics, essay, presentation
关于实验的：
Experiment、laboratory、analysis、methodology、dissertation、conclusion、references and bibliography、qualitative，research method、quantitative research method、case study、interview、questionnaire、hypothesis、pilot study、data collection、research findings
有关咖啡的一些类型：
instant coffee, real, Espresso(功夫咖啡，蒸馏咖啡), cappuccino, brewed coffee,etc.
另外一些关于吃的：

3.图书馆场景
考点：作品名称，哪年出版，作者姓名，student card, library card，借出费用，几时到期，欠款多少等。
借书动作:
check out登记并借出，renew 续借，overdue 过期的，迟到的，return 归还，pay a fine支付罚款
书的状态:
available可用到的, 可得到的，可以借到的，out on loan借出的，reserved in circulation 在书库里，out of circulation借出，not for circulation不外借，closed reserved只读不借
借的物品:
book书， newspapers报纸，video tapes录像带，journal杂志，periodicals期刊, 杂志，current issue 现期刊物、a serious magazine produced for professional people or those with a particular interest: 期刊：刊登关于某特殊主题的文章的刊物，back issue过期刊物
借书需要证件:
library card/admission card图书馆出入卡，driving license/licence 驾照，student card学生证，library card借书卡、call slip索书单
图书馆各部分名称:
information desk n.服务台，delivery/circulation desk借书台，reference (stacks)参考, 参考书目、open/closed shelf 开架，闭架，photocopy room复印室，Return Area 还书处，students locker 学生存储间、Reference Section 参考书部
4.地理场景
一般是司机，导游，BBC programme介绍某个地方，城市的基本情况。
考点包括：名字，行政区划，人口，语言风土人情，好处，不利，吸引人之处
注意转折词汇的运用：however, nevertheless, on the other hand
education, main industry:
climate/weather: wet and windy, cold and wet, rainy, cloudy.
Shape: rectangle
地理位置
Antarctica 南极洲、north pole 北极、Ski-equipped planes、helicopter、kilocalories、carbohydrate、Asia 亚洲、America 美洲、Europe 欧洲、Africa 非洲、Oceania 大洋洲
5.选课场景
此类情景主要注意课程类型、课程名称、专业、课程时间、日期、申请人信息。
涉及选课主要是对语言的选择：
French法语、Cantonese粤语、Mandarin普通话、Russian俄语、Italian意大利语、German德语、Portuguese葡萄牙、Japanese日语、Arabic阿拉伯语 ，Cantonese广东话, Spanish西班牙语
