We are really close. Whoever is in trouble, we will all support each other financially and mentally. 2. How to get along with your family and relatives?
Actually, it is easy. They don’t expect me to often buy expensive gifts for them or take them out to eat at posh restaurants. What they really need is simple: to enjoy a home cooked meal, chat over dinner and watch TV together. Life is easy. And of course, at some special festivals or on some special occasions,I might give them a big surprise to show my love for them.
3. In your family, who makes the final decisions about things?
Well, it is pretty democratic in my family, so everybody has the right to speak their mind and make their own decisions. Unlike some of the families in China, where parents always make decisions for their children. When it comes to my own issues, my parents always tell me, “Well, our opinions are just for you to consider. You have the final call."
4. Do you have a lot of friends?
Yeah, I have got a lot of friends. You know, there is no way for anyone to lead a happy life without having friends because we all need someone to share our happinesses and sorrows with. Besides family, friends are all we have got. As for me, most of my friends and I are all the same age, so we have a lot in common and we always have a blast when we hang out.
5. What do you think of friendship? What is the importance of friendship?
It is super important. There are some sayings about friendship which I think are great: Friends are just like stars, you can't always see them, but you just know they are there. Sometimes, when I say “I am ok.", I actually need someone to look me in the eye, hold me tight and say “I know you are not. Very classic! It is something that can't be measured in terms of money. In other words, you can't put a price tag on friendship.
6. Which way do you love to hang out, alone or with your friends?
Well, it depends on my mood. If I am in a good mood, I would love to hang out with my friends. And you know, the more, the merrier. Hanging out with my buddies can always put me in a good mood. But if I feel down, I would rather stay alone.
7. What would you like to do when you hang out with your friends?
Wow, there are so many things we guys can do, like throwing a party, eating out, going to a movie, going for a spin, going camping, boating, skating, skiing, clubbing or singing karaoke, whatever you name it!
8. What would you like to do when you meet people for the first time?
First, I love to find out something we are both interested in and then we can start right there. You know, nothing is worse than two guys sitting there and having nothing to talk about. It is so awkward!
9. Which parties do you prefer, friend parties or family parties?
I prefer friend parties because we are all the same age and we have a lot in common. And we always have a blast when we hang out. It is not like that I hate family parties or something, it is just that sometimes I feel kind of tied up when I am with my family, especially with my relatives. I have to be on my best behavior all the time.
10. How is your relationship with your neighbours?
We are really close. You know, it has been almost ten years since we were neighbours. We know each other quite well and we often have a small get-together once every two or three weeks. The saying that a near neighbour is better than a distant cousin is totally true. We can always have a blast when we hang out.
