1. Be supposed to
讲解：be supposed to是一个很常用的，用来替换“should”的短语。例如：
None of us girls is supposed to smoke.我们女孩子都不该吸烟。
It was supposed to be a surprise but the children gave the game away.本想给人一个意外，可孩子们把计划泄露了。(注：give the game away：泄露秘密;露出马脚)
2. Put a premium on
讲解：很多学生写重视，就只会用pay close attention to。现在我们再想表达“重视”就可以用：put a premium on这个短语。例如：
They put a premium on honoring obligations.他们很重视履行义务。
We do put a very high premium on common sense.我们的确很注重常识。
He put a premium on peace and stability.他很重视和平与稳定。
3. Be equipped with
讲解：此短语可翻译成 “有”。例如：
He is equipped with a deep sense of justice.他具有深切的正义感。
They were plainly ill equipped to deal with the situation.他们应付那种局面显然缺乏准备。
You should equip yourself with a stain removal kit.你应该备有一套去污用具。
4. Attribute to
讲解：attribute是及物动词，把...归因于;把(过错的责任等)归于(to)例如：
He attribute his success to hard work.他把他的成功归因于艰苦努力。
She attributes her success to hard work and a little luck.她认为她的成功来自勤劳和一点运气。
Most of environmental degradation is attributed to human activities.大多数环境的恶化都归咎于人类的活动。
5. Priority
讲解：priority是“优先权”的意思。
Setting priorities can be a difficult task.分清事情的轻重缓急是一个很困难的事情。
You need to get your priorities straight.你需要把个人事情的轻重缓急分清楚。
Voters continue to rate education high on their list of priorities.选民继续把教育看作是头等重要的大事。
The policeman had his priorities right.这名警察对事情的轻重缓急安排得很妥当。
6. Dispel
讲解：to make sth, especially a feeling or belief, go away or disappear驱散，消除(尤指感觉或信仰)例如：
The captain’s cheerful laugh dispelled our fears.船长愉快的笑声消除了我们的恐惧。
His speech dispelled any fears about his health.他的发言消除了人们对他身体健康的担心。
7. Unsound
讲解：not acceptable/containing mistakes; that you cannot rely on不稳妥的;观点不正确的;有错误的;靠不住的;思想不健全的。例如：
The use of disposable products is considered ecologically unsound.使用一次性产品被认为是没有顾及对生态的影响。
The methods used were unsound.所使用的方法不可靠。
Mary was psychologically unsound.玛丽心理上不健全。
Her intuition was not unsound.她的直觉不是没有根据的。
