Hoover’s behavior perfectly sheds light on the gravity of submittal to public opinions seeing that a president is not almighty and public, as outsiders, sees the problem clearer and will so much as make better decisions.
Other than that, taking the American society as a whole, on the authority of Democracy in America, European revolutionary writer Tocqueville states the power of hearing the public views as well as the significance of it. Tocqueville is of the opinion that of all the factors America is of the ability to become the world’s most successful democratic country, one is that American government gives full rein to resort to the people’s sentiment and the Senate and Congress is thus elected; simply on the grounds that president’s ability to look at the problem is cramped, in which case, by way of the essence of free speech, the voiceless should be heard by leader so as to let the leader acknowledges what average people need and what he or she is able to fulfill their needs and dreams.
Barring the historical event and the masterpiece, Sheryl Sandberg, for the time being a considerable COO in Facebook, had the experience that, in the light of her speech in Facebook: once upon a time she was in the blink of putting the company in advertisement jeopardy and it was the general opinions from her employees that stretch the company out of danger by asking her “millions of times” do not cut down the price of advertisement section. Sheryl’s story demonstrates the mistake a leader can make if keeping close to oneself. Two is better than one. Somehow public opinion is more authorized.
In short, leaders in any realm are obliged to take public opinion into consideration, for its democracy, hit-or-miss idea and the correct of majority.
