If the function f is defined by function f of x= (2 times x) + 3, and if function f of a = 11, what is the value of a?

Explanation

 

If the function f is defined by function f of x= (2 times x) + 3, and function f of a = 11, then function f of a = (2 times a) + 3 = 11. Therefore, a = (11 minus 3) over 2 = 4.
