SAT语法中同级比较用AS…AS (not as/so …as)表达，不同级的比较用more than结构，但是SAT关于比较的试题不限于此，大致可以归为一下几种。
1. 关于that of 和 those of的问题
例题：the title of this book is more intereting than that book.
这是一个典型的错句，句中the title of this book 和that book做的比较，这显然是不可比的，应该是：
the title of this book is more intereting than the title of that book.
那么为了避免重复第二句中的the title 可以用that来代替
就是the title of this book is more intereting than that of that book.
2. like/unlike/similar to /compared with/in comparision with 的问题
这五个单词或词组若在句子中出现，就奥首先考虑可比性的问题，这里like是像，unlike是不像。
SAT考题找那个常常用上述五个词开头，后面加一个名词，而该名词的性质又和句子的主语不同来困扰考生例如
compared with Tom ,the works of Allen are more intelligent
compared with 后面诗人，而the works 是物两者不能比较，所以就要Tom改为those of Tom.
3. 关于平行词的补助结构
在比较结构的第二部分中主语后面常要补一个助动词来时的这个比较对象更加清楚比如：
I love mary more than my parents
I love mary more than my parents doi
SAT语法中一般来说更倾向于在第二个主语后面加助动词，例外的情况是第一个主语后面没有宾语 I run more quickly than you 这里讲I和YOU作比较不会产生歧义。
还有一点特别要注意的是当第二个主语比较长时，我们要把不得助动词放在主语前面，例如：The air outside has a higher concentration rate than does the air inside the roo.
