二.中国考生入学要求Admission Requirements for Students Educated in China
1. 学术要求Minimum Academic requirements
§ Applicants must have a cumulative average of 80% in the following subjects: English, Chinese, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, politics, history, and geography. Grades on the following subjects are not included in this average: art, music, fine arts, physical education, military training, technology, and vocational/technical courses.

§ The SAT or ACT is not required for admission to Iowa State for students educated in non-American patterned high schools.

2. 英语语言能力测试English Proficiency Exams
Applicants whose primary language is not English must meet an English proficiency requirement in one of the ways listed below. Note for students transferring from US schools: Iowa State does not waive the English requirement for students who have taken English courses at US institutions.
· Internet-Based TOEFL (IBT): score of 71 with minimum scores of 17 in the Speaking and Writing sections.
· Paper-Based TOEFL (PBT): score of 530.
· International English Language Testing System (IELTS): an overall band score of 6.0 with no sub score below 5.5.
· SAT Critical Reading: a minimum score of 420 on the Critical Reading Section of the SAT.
· Pearson Test of English-Academic (PTE): score or 48.
