Transfer admission is considerably more competitive than freshman admission. In recent years the transfer admit rate has ranged from one to four percent. Between 20 and 35 transfer student spaces are typically available each year.

二.考试Testing
1. 要求的考试Required Testing
The SAT or ACT Plus Writing is required. Official scores from all test dates must be sent to Stanford directly from the ACT or the College Board (the reporting agency for the SAT) or both if the applicant has taken the ACT and the SAT. Score reports must arrive by the applicable application deadline.
本科转校生必须参加SAT考试或者ACT考试(要求写作部分)，考试成绩必须由大学委员会直接提交给校方，成绩提交必须自截止日期之前。
2. 新SAT考试说明Redesigned SAT
In March 2016 the College Board will offer a redesigned SAT. We are looking forward to the new exam and add the following information:
Stanford will accept scores from both the current SAT and the redesigned SAT.
Stanford will require all three components of the redesigned SAT: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Math, and Essay.
We will superscore the results from the current and redesigned SAT separately.

3. 拼分Superscoring Test Results
For the SAT, we will focus on the highest individual Critical Reading, Math and Writing scores from all test sittings.
For the ACT Plus Writing, we will focus on the highest Composite and the highest Combined English/Writing scores from all test sittings. We will also consider individual subscores.
对于SAT考试成绩，校方将会从考生提交的历次考试成绩中参考最高的成绩，进行拼分，但是新SAT考试和旧SAT考试不能进行拼分。
4. 推荐考试Recommended Testing
SAT Subject Tests are recommended but not required. Applicants who do not take SAT Subject Tests will not be at a disadvantage. Because SAT Subject Tests are optional, applicants may use Score Choice to selectively send their SAT Subject Test scores.
AP examination scores are recommended but not required. If you have these scores, we recommend you self-report them on the Common Application. You may report any scores you choose.
If English is not your native language, we recommend, but do not require, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL cannot replace the SAT or ACT Plus Writing.
(1) SAT2考试，校方推荐考生参加，但是不做强制要求，没有提交SAT2考试成绩的考生也不会因此处于劣势。因为SAT2考试属于选考范围。
(2) 如果英语不是考生的第一语言，那么校方推荐考生参加TOEFL考试，TOEFL成绩是不能代替SAT或则ACT考试的。
