一.图表题考察意义
美国的新课标中(CCSS)，给全美国的高中生阅读能力提出了10条明确标准，其中第7条为“Integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse formats and media, including visually and quantitatively, as well as words.”是要求学生能够看懂各种形式的信息的，比如视频的、图片的、图表的、文字的等等。
在新SAT考试考纲中的阅读也要求了这样一个能力点“Analyzing quantitative information: The students will analyze information presented quantitatively in such forms as graphs, tables, and charts and/or relate that information to information presented in text.”意思就是你需要看懂各种图表(柱形，饼形，表格等等)，还得会根据图表和文章内容来作答。

二.题目数量及篇章题材
根据新SAT官方指南的4套样题，每套阅读共52道题目中图表题的数量为4-6道。每套题目共5篇(4篇+1组双篇)文章，图表题占2篇(1篇+1组)，分别为历史/社会研究以及科学类文章。这里大家需要注意的是图表题不会出现在文学类文章中;一篇文章可能会包含1-2个图表。

三.图表题考察类型
1.定位信息类：根据题目要求在一个或多个图表中定位并寻找数据信息。
2. 数据推理类：基于图表中的数据信息得出结论。
3. 结合文章类：将文中信息与图表信息相结合分析和解决问题

四.解题思路
1. 分析图表时，应首先明确图表标题、横纵数据类别(横纵向分别代表?信息)、图例标签(如虚线指的是?，深色部分代表了?)。若图表下方有对图表的说明介绍，千万要认真阅读，找有用信息，一些题目还会用到图标说明里的信息哦。
2. 观察数据时，需进行数据比较，找数据特点，如明确占比最大和最小的，明确数值的上升下降或波动。
3. 若选项中出现了图表中未包含的信息可以排除(这就类似我们在以前阅读里常见的原文未提及的错误选项)。

五.例题详解
1. 定位信息类：例题 Test 2 Question 20
