Nowadays，the catering services are expanding; as a result， an increasing number of people would like to eat outside instead of cooking at home. So it is argued that in future，people will spend less time on cooking. However，I totally disagree with the statement because of three main reasons.
First of all，it’s true that the technology advancement makes people's life more convenient. There are lots of cooking machines, such as automatic egg boilers'，which makes cooking less time-consuming and easier. However，cooking is not a job，but an entertainment .After a whole day’s busy work，people can go to supermarket and choose some ingredients and dishes，then spend an hour to create their own dinners. This process can help people relieve their pressure. So the busier people are，the more time people may spend on cooking for relax. Besides,, cooking is a hobby instead of troublesome for some people. In this way，people enjoy the process of preparing food and cuisine. For example，I am a person who likes cooking very much，because I think cooking is a creative art，which needs intelligent，talent and patience. So I think the time-consuming of cooking reflects the creativity and efforts of a person.
Finally, to spend time on cooking for family members is a kind of enjoyment. We can imagine that after an hour of cooking， our families sit together and taste our dishes，expressing their appreciation and happiness. This will bring unparalleled sense of achievement to us.
In conclusion，it is fair to say people won’t spend less time on cooking in future because cooking brings about various enjoyments for human.
