  一、难词注解

  Scope n. 范围;余地;视野;眼界;导弹射程 vt. 审视

  二、长难句分析

  Well, I’ve been thinking about, you know, what you were saying in class last week, about how we shouldn’t wait until the last minute to find an idea and get started working on our term paper.

  难句类型:

  宾语从句,not…until句式

  难句拆分:

  thinking about+what 引导的宾语从句,shouldn’t wait until,not…until句式

Dialect accommodat ion is a more manageable sort of topic.强调原则,OK, all right. 语气发生变化,也就是 A 选项。So I started reading the chapter, you know, about how everyone speaks some dialect of a language.推出 C 选项。

  4.Tell you what, Lisa, write me up a short proposal for this project, how you’re going to carry out the experiment and everything, a design plan. And I think this’ll work out just fine.这是强调原则,Tell you what, Lisa, 提示提示后面的内容很重要,在女生问教授能否写这个 topic 以后教授说 write me up a short proposal for this project 这也就是女生接下来要做的工作,对应C选项。

  5.Well, that’s certainl y an interesting topic. But you may not realize, I mean, the scope... But then I was noticing, like, we don’t really get into this till the end of the semest er, you know. So I…,结尾原则,结尾往往有考点出现,教授提到scope之后又为女生指出了具体看书的方向因此可以得知教授觉得一开始该女生的想法过于宽泛应该 narrow down,因此选 B

  听力文本结构框架:

  这篇文章主要讲的是学生请教教授论文方案是否可行。他想写关于方言的论文,来自不同的人他们的方言不一样,但是他们之间谈话的时候会刻意的改变语调来适应所交谈的人。最后教授建议他先写一个简短的方案。
