一.掌握近义词
在托福阅读考试中，词汇题一般会采用选择题的方式来考察考生的答题能力，而正确的选项往往是题干中单词或者词组的近义词，所以考生在备考的时候如果可以在背单词的同时，记忆这些单词的近义词。这样就算在考试中对于其它几个选项不太了解，也可以帮助自己答对题目的。比如考生在回答TPO25PASSAGE1中的第三题The word “distinctive” in the passage is closest in meaning to
○ Deep
○ Complex
○ Characteristic
○ Ancient
的时候，如果考生知道distinctive是形容词，与众不同的，有特色的含义，同时也知道C选项中Characteristic的含义是特有的，有特色的，那么考生就算不知道Deep，Complex，Ancient的含义，也可以做出正确的选择C项。
二.学会带入原文思考
在托福阅读考试的词汇题中，如果考生想要做到万无一失，仅仅靠记忆近义词还是不够的，要把选项代入原文中去思考，看看每个选项是否可以在原文中连接顺畅。比如考生在回答TPO29passage1中的第七题的时候，The word “entirely” in the passage is closest in meaning to
