Compared with historical people and events in the past, I think I can learn much more from those that exist currently. The main reason is that in China the society are undergoing dramatic changes, every generation faces exclusive challenges. While most lessons that learnt from historical people and events are already out of date and there is nothing new to be learnt .In contrast, I can learn a lot from current events as I can see how some important developments are changing our world. For example, we can learn how online shopping is changing people’s life style and how to take advantage of such a tendency. As to contemporary figures, their public statements or speeches are usually related with current events and often give me a lot of insights and new perspectives.
