Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? When students handle their assignments later than the deadline, teachers should reduce their scores? Use specific reasons to support your answer.
should be judged according to its content.
encounter unavoidable emergencies
Eg. writing a report ----Unfortunately, computer suddenly broken down ----could not hand in report in time. But eventually, professor ---still gave me A grade
二. 范文
Well, personally speaking, even though it cannot be finished in deadline, the paper should also be judged according to its content. In fact, in the process of writing papers, students may encounter several unavoidable emergencies that may lead the paper fail to be finished before the deadline. For example, once I devoted all myself to writing a report by searching the references in library and design questionnaire to acquire data. Then I analyzed the data carefully and organized my report in good order. I had confidence to achieve professor’s appreciation and get a high score. Unfortunately, my computer suddenly broke down just before the deadline, so I could not hand in my report to the professor in time. But eventually, after reading my report, the professor accepted my explanation and still gave me A grade for my paper.
三.词汇
1. deadline:n.
He says he will soon announce commission members and set a deadline for their recommendations.
2. encounter:vt.
Every day of our lives we encounter major and minor stresses of one kind or another.
3. unavoidable:adj.
"Unfortunately, disruption for motorists using the Blandford Road is unavoidable during construction, " he added
4. emergency:n. 紧急情况;
He deals with emergencies promptly.
5. reference:n. 参考,参照;
He made no reference to any agreement.
6. questionnaire:n.
Teachers will be asked to fill in a questionnaire.
7. appreciation:n. 欣赏,鉴别;
He expressed his appreciation for what he called Saudi Arabia's moderate and realistic oil policies.
1. Well, personally speaking, even though it cannot be finished in deadline, the paper should also be judged according to its content.
even though引起了让步状语从句,the paper should also be judged according to its content.
2. In fact, in the process of writing papers, students may encounter several unavoidable emergencies that may lead the paper fail to be finished before the deadline.
that may lead the paper fail to be finished before the deadline中that引起了定语从句,that修饰emergencies,emergencies在定语从句中做主语。
3. For example, once I devoted all myself to writing a report by searching the references in library and design questionnaire to acquire data.
