As for me, I prefer internet-based study for two reasons.
Firstly, internet-based teaching tend to be more flexible for I can choose when and where to have my classes. Sometimes I can even repeat the lessons I don’t quite understand or review the lessons I have had. For example, I had some TOEFL classes on line and I never had to worry about the quality of my study because I could not only ask the teachers immediately but also review the whole process of teaching recorded as many times as I liked.
For the second reason, it is time-saving to take internet-based classes because it saves the time on the way to the teaching spots. In Beijing where I live, I have to spend 2 hours on road, which is really a waste of time
