一.名人
名人类话题主要考察的是考生最喜欢的影星，最喜欢的运动员，最喜欢的歌星等等，考生在回答这个问题的时候可以从以下几个方面入手。首先是成就achievement，名人之所以能为大众所知，肯定做出了很多成就，所以考生在答题的过程中，首先可以从这个方面切入。其次，是性格方面，很多明星之所以受人喜欢，它们的性格也占了很重要的一方面，比如courageous，resolute等等。比如考生在回答2009年6月5日的北美托福口语真题task1Describe the person you admire most and explain why you admire him or her.的时候就可以这样组织答案，I admire Jay Chou most because of two reasons.
First, as the first rapper in China, Jay Chou is also a creative composer. He released an album almost every year . The songs composed by him are catchy and gained recognition throughout Asia. (首先，从周杰伦的成就入手，周杰伦之所以能被很多人了解，首先一个方面就是他的成就，他是一个作曲家，他的歌曲非常的吸引人)
Second, I am inspired by his perseverance. The genre of the music made by him combining western musical elements and Chinese literature terms. It is totally a new trend so that people cannot accept it at first, but he never gave up, which leads to his final success.(其次，从周杰伦的性格入手，他非常的坚持，就算遇到了困难，也从来都没有放弃过，引领了新的潮流)
二.同事
这类题目主要考察的是考生认为同事具有的品格即What kind of qualities should a good colleague possess?前程百利小编认为，考生可以从以下几个方面入手。首先是团结collaborative,一个好的同事肯定是善于团结周围的人的，为了做到这一点，他不但要是一个patient listener，还要readily to accept others suggestion。其次，效率。在职场中时间就是金钱，效率就是生命。一个好的同事，首先应该做到的就是efficient。比如考生在回答Describe the qualities of a good colleague的时候就可以这样组织答案
First, a colleague is supposed to be efficient in work.(效率)When given a task by the boss, all the team members should take their duties and cooperate well in order to finish it quickly. If one of the colleagues is slow and left behind, a project will be delayed.
Secondly, I think a colleague should be ready to help others.(善于和周围的人合作) When a new employee comes to the company, he knows little about the work, so it is his colleagues who are supposed to help him. But there are some staff members who wouldn’t like to help others, for they are afraid that others will excel them afterwards.
托福口语考试并没有考生想象中的那么困难，建议考生在掌握以上答题技巧的基础上，不断练习，争取在考试中取得高分。
