托福综合写作的结构分析。由于和托福独立写作性质不同，托福综合写作的结构相对比较单调(但换句话说也就是更严谨)：一般都是开头交待overall topic/subject(总的话题)和central argument/thesis(总论点)。
而主体最清晰的写法是写3段，分别用professor的三个分论点及其支持句去批驳阅读文章里的三个分论点。结尾段按照官方范文的标准是允许省略的，如果打算写的话，也就是再重申一下professor的话确实有道理。
相应地，由于托福综合写作的逻辑结构比较固定，所以建议大家最好不要在考场里“突发奇想”。Integrated Writing考试的重点本来就不是考查学生的思维独特性，而是重点考查citation和summarization的学术能力。也正是由于它的逻辑结构相对固定，所以与独立写作正相反，Pat非常建议大家考前认真准备一个综合写作结构模板，为考场里集中精力看文章、听录音和准确建立反驳关系留出宝贵的时间。不过当然，理解了文章逻辑结构之后自己编写出来的个性化模板才是最好的模板。
大体来说，好的综合写作模板有三个原则：
(a)逻辑必须严密，这是最首要的要求。好的模板应该每句话之间有合理的承接顺序和紧密的衔接关系，并且能帮助考生把阅读和听力段子里自己能大致理解的部分充分展示 给考官；
(b)但同时，模板逻辑也不要太。“绕”，否则在考场里有忙中出错的可能。填写综合写作模板需要一遍成功，如果中途发现逻辑填乱了再去改，将会对考生的心理甚至生理造成 巨大压力；
(C)字数不宜过多，否则肯定有废话;当然字数也不宜太少，否则……那就不叫模板了。
下面的综合写作模板逻辑很严密，而且内容也比较好填，还提供了大量同义词替换，供同学们在准备自己的个性化模板时参考：
第①段The reading passage explores the issue of… The professor's lecture deals with the same issue. However, he/she thinks that…, which contradicts what the reading states. And in the lecture, he/she uses three specific points to support his/her idea.
第②段First, even though the reading passage suggests that…, the professor argues in the lecture that… This is because…, which means Obviously, the professor's argument disproves its counterpart in the reading.
第③段Moreover, despite the statement in the reading that…, the professor contends that… Then he/she supports this point with the fact that… In other words, …
第④段Finally, the professor asserts that… whereas the author of the reading claims that… The professor proves that this claim is indefensible by pointing out that一i. e. , …
第⑤段In conclusion, the professor clearly identifies the weaknesses in the reading passage and convincingly shows that the central argument in the reading, 一that is, … is incorrect.
