托福写作中，最难的是在短时间内写出非常地道生动的句子。因为是短时间有时间限制，比如独立写作30分钟写一篇，大家可能有很多东西想写，却发现写出句子都是简单句，也是常用的there be 结构、主谓结构，而且有些中式英文表述，自己写的时候就越写越没信心，越写越没劲，这样的句子怎么可能让阅卷老师给高分。而短时间内想写出地道生动的句子，一定要重视托福写作“动词”的活学活用。我们可以研究一下同类作文题要讲的内容，发现要表达的内容和句式有相似的地方，这时我们不妨把一些好的“动词”以及好的句式，灵活利用，学会举一反三。
本文中我们先来看一下工作类的独立写作，大多可以概括为工作方式的选择。请看下面的三个选题，想想可能用到的比较好的动词是什么?

Working at home using computers or telephones is better than working in the office.

1. Endow…with (赋予某人…)
既然这三道题都面临着选择，选择多一定是某个因素赋予的。那么这三道题都可以用到这个动词词组。
(1) 能在家工作或去公司工作，可以说是社会发展-科技发展的结果造成的，当我们想引出话题时。可以这样写一个句子：
The development of society, especially of advanced technology, endows people with more ways to finish (carry out) their jobs. Some like to work in the office while others prefer working at home.
(2) 第二题明显是工作的多样性，有立即得到安全的工作或花些时间找到满意的工作，这个可以说改革开放赋予的多种选择。同样可以用这个动词词汇来引出话题，如下：
The coming of opening up towards outside world, especially of rapid economic growth, endows people with more opportunities to choose their jobs. Some can find a secure job immediately while others need to seek a satisfying work for a long time.
(3) 第三题明显是观念的改变，想体验更丰富的生活，造成工作方式的多样，也可以用这个动词来引出话题。如下：
The change of concept about work, which more people want to experience more colorful lifes, endows people with more choices that can make them try different jobs before they decide which career they will do in the long term.
2. Be inclined to (倾向于… 有意于…)
既然面临选择，就有倾向于某种选择的做法。这样一工作类的作文，都可以活学活用上面这个动词词组。
(1) 有些人回家工作后，就倾向于拖延。可以这样用：
Many workers are inclined to put off their work if they take it home with them.
(2) 第二题也可以用到这个词组：
Some people are inclined to take a secure job because to begin work immediately can offer people valuable experience, and prepare them for their ideal jobs in the future.
(3) 第三题同样可以用到这个词组：
With this specific direction in mind, they are inclined to accumulate professional-related knowledge for their future jobs.
从上面的两个例子来说，只要勤于动脑，善于活学活用，通过同类作文句子的练习，当所有类型的作文都这样练下去的话，越来越多的好动词变成积极词汇时，你下笔会有如神助，轻松写出地道生动的英语句子来，得到一个较好的托福考试分数自然也不成问题的。
