托福写作中大多数题目都是表示对立或者是对比关系，所以这里我们着重说一下对立观点的表达方式。例如TPO1独立写作题目：
At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
根据题目中“as important as”可知，对比的对象是“sports and social activities”和“classes and libraries”之间的关系。
对立观点表达方式：介绍对立双方的观点，然后提出自己的观点。
例如：When ask about "which one is more important between these two factors", people's opinions are divergent on such a controversial issue. The overwhelming majority would support that "classes and libraries are more important", others, however, take the negative attitude. However, in my opinion, the A outweighed by the B. I have several reasons for this opinion.(加粗的地方是考生根据题目内容，可以替换的部分)。
二、原因概述的表达方式(中间段论述)
引出观点之后，就需要针对自己确立的观点，概述原因。其实原因的概述，也就是我们常说的论据的内容。考生在确立观点之后，会用2-3个分论点来论述。而每一个分论点都需要有充足的论据支撑。例如：There are numerous reasons why I advocate ___and I would explore only a few of the most essential ones here.+论据(原因)。
还是以TPO1为例，第二个分论点：
(分论点论述)Aside from fostering social skills and team spirit, sports and social activities can greatly improve students ‘efficiency. (原因概述表达)Students need not play sports or participate in social activities at the expense of their academic study. Indeed, for some students, playing sports and joining in social activities are good stress reducers.……
三、结论概述的表达方式(结尾段总结)
结尾段主要是针对中间段分论点论述完成之后，总结上文观点，重申题目主旨。所以，常见的表达方式有： From what I have discussed above, we may safely come to the conclusion that……
还是以TPO1的题目为例，最后一段可以写成：
For these reasons, I maintain that universities and colleges should spend enough money on academic education and social movements to prepare students for their future development.
