Paragraph 3(1)
What's more(标志词，而且，更重要的是), friends in different finance situation can learn from(向…学习) each other, thus(因此，与therefore, hence, accordingly, consequently, so是同义词) stimulating their friendship. Take my uncle as an example.(过渡句，可用for example代替)
①in different finance situation：在不同的情况下
There was a considerable financial gap between them.
②learn from：向…学习
I want to learn from you ,to face and ignore all of the gossip.
③Stimulate：vt刺激，鼓舞，激励;Vi起刺激作用，起促进作用，与promote, improve, enhance是同义词

My uncle has an amiable position as an office professional(这句话可以改写为My uncle is an easy-going office professional), and is always eager to make friends with others, regardless of their ages, educational backgrounds(学历), and social statuses(社会地位). Among his friends, many people are in higher social positions, most of whom are far wealthier than himself.(定语从句)
①Amiable：adj 和蔼可亲的，亲切的，和easy-going是同义词
Eg：an amiable smile亲切的微笑
Have an amiable position性情随和
②professional：adj专业的，职业的，职业性的;n.专业人员，职业运动员
office professional强调的是专业人员，office worker上班族
professional service专业服务，professional knowledge专业知识;professional dedication敬业精神
③be eager to盼望，渴望要做….与wish to do, long to do是近义词，接名词的时候用wish for，long for
The mother was eager to see the doctor about her sick son.
④make friends with：与…交朋友
Be friends with做朋友
⑤regardless of：不管，不顾，与despite of是同义词
She is determined to drop out of the competition regardless of all consequences.
Paragraph 3(3)
However, my uncle tells me that (that引起了宾语从句)despite the financial distinctions(n.区别，差别) between his friends and himself, he is still admired(钦佩) by his rich friends for his prodigious(adj.惊人的，异常的，奇妙的) knowledge, his easy-going nature(n.自然，性质，本质) and his open mind(思想开放的), from which his friends can (此处是一个定语从句的用法，这句话的正常语序是his friends can learn a lot from his prodigious knowledge, his easy-going nature and his open mind )learn a lot. My uncle and his friends inspire(鼓舞，启示，与stimulate，lift，spirit是同义词)) each other in different ways(以不同的方式，用不同的方法，此处也可以用in various ways/in different aspects), which(引导的是非限制性定语从句，which指代的是前面句子里的这种情况) could not have happened(could have done表示本可以做某事，但是实际上没有做，用语虚拟语气) were they on the same level financially.
①宾语从句：在句子中用作宾语的句子称作宾语从句，通常是作动词和介词以及形容词的宾语
I hope that you have a good flight back tomorrow.
I hope sth.
You have a good flight back tomorrow.
②distinction： financial distinctions=financial gap
With distinction以优异成绩，以杰出的表现
He passed the examination with distinction.
Make a distinction区别
We must make a distinction between ourselves and the enemy.
③虚拟语气
If they are on the same level financially, this could not happen.
If they were on the same level financially, this could not have happened.
注：当虚拟条件句的谓语动词含有were, should, had时,if可以省略，这时条件状语从句要用倒装语序，即把were, should，had等词置于句首，这种多用于书面语。
