一.听什么
在听听力的时候，考生要从position，major points，details三个方面入手来听听力。即在听的时候考生首先要听讲话者的立场，然后抓取三个主要的论点，并且要吸收和消化三个方面的细节，并且考生还需要将上述内容反馈成笔记。
二.回顾上节课的内容
在上一节课中我们主要讲述了TPO17中托福综合写作部分的阅读内容，分别讲述了阅读文章中每一段的主要内容以及做笔记的方法，在这部分文章的第一段主要论述文章的主题和中心思想。第二段中主要论述了文章的first major points，随着人口数量的增长，鸟儿栖息地逐渐减少。第三段中主要论述了文章的第二个主要论点，这一段是分总结构，主要论述了由于人口增长，导致农业活动的增加，与之相应的，农业耕地也不断增加，造成了鸟儿数量的减少。第四段主要论述了由于人的居住区域的增长，农药的广泛使用，对鸟儿造成了伤害，并且影响了鸟儿的繁殖。
三.听力笔记准备
考生在听听力的时候，可以把草稿纸分成两部分，如图所示。M表示major point，D表示details。
四.具体信息
1.听力部分的首段内容，总结了一些中心思想，在记笔记的时候考生可以这样记

因此，综合阅读部分的第一段，在写作文的第一段的时候，考生可以这样进行论述，其中黑色的部分是模板内容。在写的时候需要把中心思想，作者的立场以及两者的关系写出来。

2.听力部分的第一个中心论点，在记笔记的时候，考生可以这样记录
所以，再加上阅读部分，我们可以总结出作文中的第二点：
First, the writer thinks that because human populations and habitats go on enlarging, birds' living areas will continue to vanish away.
The lecturer, however, holds a different view that urban development offers better and larger areas for the wild birds.The bird's population becomes so big that some people in the city begin to complain about it .Although some kinds of birds may shrink, other kinds will grow. So, the uniform decline will not occur in the future.这一句话虽然没有写出来鸽子和鹰，但是写出了相应的细节部分，也是可以的。
3. 听力部分的第二个中心论点，考生可以这样记笔记

因此，再加上阅读部分的内容，考生可以这样组织作文中的第三段内容。阅读材料占整个部分的1/4，听力部分占3/4的内容即可。
