超高频题
Name
1. Does your name have any special meaning?
Actually, I was named after a famous Chinese government official who did wonderful things for the people so I guess my parents gave me this name hoping I would also do good things for the people of this country.
Is there any special ceremony when babies are given their names?
Not that I know of. When I was born my parents just found my name from a dictionary - nothing special. Of course, I can’t speak of everyone in China.
2. Do many people in China have a nickname?
Certainly, I do and in fact so do most of my friends. My nickname is big head. I guess the reason why is cuz I have a really big head and sometimes my friends make fun of it.
3. Are there any big differences between people's names today in
China and people's names many years ago?
In the past people used to use a lot of numbers in their names because most people were uneducated and couldn’t think of new names so the given name might just be a figure. While on the other hand nowadays more and more people are using English names as given names in Chinese such as Anna or Mike.
4. Would you like to change your name?
If I had the chance I would choose to change my name to a cooler one. Personally speaking I think that my name is a little outdated and people may think I’m from the countryside if they just hear my name. And I may even change my family name to my mother's cut I have a better relationship with my mum.
Work or study
5. Are you a student or do you have a job?
I am a student at the moment. I am studying English on a full-time basis at a language school. We have classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.
6. What do you like most about your study?
The most enjoyable part is to learn new things without worrying about earning money. One more thing is that students can always have more chances to tap their potential to achieve their dreams.
7. Do you like your subject?
Yes, I do. I’m really interested in economics and numbers and that’s why I chose accounting as my major. Also, this major can provide me with a stable job in the future. I think I’ll enjoy doing this job. 4. Is that a popular subject to study in your country?
Nowadays, along with the development of the economy, there’re a lot of companies in China and they all need people to help them in their finance department. I have a lot of friends who have chosen this major. I believe I’ll have a bright future.
8. Where do you work?
I work for international companies in Beijing. I am passionate about my job for it provides me loads of opportunities to communicate with people from other countries.
Major
9. What’s your favorite subject at school? Can you tell me something about it?
My favorite subject is accounting. It is a subject that tells people how to classify different transaction and record them in the most efficient way. It can be served as a financial tool for people to evaluate investments. Maybe some people may think accounting is boring. In fact, it isn’t. you know, no matter what people do, they cannot avoid thinking about something in relation to accounting, like balancing benefits and costs, concerning about the tax issue.
10. Do you think people who major in your field can find a job easily when they graduate?
Yes I think so. As a matter of fact, regardless of different economic environment and different business structure, managers always need a qualified accountant to help them make financial statement, such as balance sheet, cash flow statement and profit and loss statement. Also, the managers require an accountant to cope with the tax issue and the auditing issue. Therefore, I think as long as you are qualified, you can easily find a job.
11. Do you prefer to study alone or to study with other students?
It depends. If I have a big assignment, I prefer to study with other students. Under that circumstance, team work is usually more effective and efficient because we can share our own opinion and summarize some useful points. But if I am going to have a final exam, I prefer to study alone. I can become more focused and follow my review plan with any distraction.
12. What kinds of tools or instruments you use at school?
Commonly,we use computers, projectors, overhead, digital recorders, printing machine, copy machine and something like that.
13. Did you like reading books when you were little?
It depends on what book it was. For example,if books contained many colorful pictures and funny word, like cartoon book, I was quite interested in them, because they were easy for me to understand what they were talking about. However, it was a trying experience for me if I read books with some deep concept or abstract theme.
Hometown
14 Where do you come from?
Well I guess I could begin by saying I was born and brought up in Ningbo, a city that is located southeast of Zhejiang province. I would say it's a rather wealthy city since there are many high-rise buildings with the most modern architectural styles and many people drive expensive cars such as Audis.
15.What tourist attractions are there in your hometown?
As a famous historical city, Ningbo boasts about having attractive landscapes and rich cultural relics, there are two places that are especially worth visiting. In my opinion the most popular tourist attractions is Tanya Pavilion - the oldest surviving private library in China, even Asia.
16. Did you learn much about the history of your hometown in school?
Well, I’m in high school now and the teachers don't teach the history of my hometown because we focus on the content of the College Entrance Examination and my hometown’s history is not apart of the syllabus. But when I was in middle school my history teacher did briefly teach us about Ningbo’s history and to be honest I’m not very interested in it.
17. What do you think needs to change in your hometown?
As you know China has a population crisis and Ningbo is no exception. There are way too many people so the roads are usually congested during peak hours and department stores are generally quite crowded if there is a sale. To overcome this problem, maybe we could widen the roads and construct more shopping centers.
18. Why did you choose to live here/there?
Like most of my friends I didn't really have a choice in the matter. I was born and raised in my hometown. My parents work there and therefore I also live there. If I had a choice I might move to a bigger city because mine is a little boring - there is a real lack of entertainment facilities.
Weather
19. What's the weather usually like in your hometown?
The weather is quite extreme here, actually. I mean it's humid and scorching in summer and freezing cold in winter. Although spring and autumn are rather mild and delightful, they are normally too short even to notice.
20. Has the weather in your country changed much in the past few years?
Yes, the weather in summer becomes hotter and muggier and the winter in Wuhan becomes chillier.
