1.Would you text if he/she doesn’t answer the phone?
There’s a chance I would send a text message if someone didn’t answer the phone, it would depend on how urgent it was. If I really needed to get hold of someone, I would probably send a message and keep ringing them, as well as leaving a voicemail message. But if I just wanted a chat I would wait till later on.

2.Do you like texting?
I have to admit, I’m slightly addicted to messaging people. I could easily spend all day glued to my smartphone, having multiple conversations. These days text messages seem a bit old fashioned; I prefer using social media, such as WeChat, where you can also send a quick voice message.

3.Do you often use cell phones?
I’m not sure I could live without my phone, in many ways it’s an extension of myself. I use it on an hourly basis for calling, messaging and sometimes even playing games. I just can’t seem to put it down. I reckon I’d have withdrawal symptoms if I my phone was lost or damaged.

4.Do you think that telephones might be replaced one day in the future?
I suspect in the future things will be radically different. You can see how far telephones have evolved over the years. Not long ago an iPhone was the peak of technology, but now nearly everybody has a smartphone and people have become quite blasé about them.
我觉得未来东西会变得很不一样。你看电话在这些年发展了多少。不久之前苹果手机还被认为是科技之巅，但是现在几乎人人都有智能手机，人们对这些都司空见惯了。
5.Would you rather text or make a phone call?
For me a phone call will always be not only more personal, but also more convenient. I’ve never been the fastest at typing messages and some people do not reply straight away. Nowadays calling a mobile phone is also not very expensive so there’s no need to worry about racking up a huge bill.
对我来说打电话不仅更私人，也更方便。我一直以来打字都不快，而且有的人并不会马上回复你。而且现在手机的资费不太贵，所以不用担心会花费太多电话费。
