(1)改革后的词汇题将很少考察生僻词汇,将大量考察考生相对比较熟悉的一些词汇;
(2)改革后词汇题目的选项设置一定程度上提升了题目难度,备选答案全部都是词汇本身所具备的含义,要求考生从中选择最适合语境的一个意思;

“We have an understanding. Please don’t judge
my candidacy by the unseemliness of this proposal. I
65 ask directly because the use of a go-between takes
much time. Either method comes down to the same
thing: a matter of parental approval. If you give your
consent, I become Naomi’s yoshi.* We’ll live in the
House of Fuji. Without your consent, I must go to
70 America, to secure a new home for my bride.”
3. As used in line 1 and line 65, “directly” most nearly means
A) frankly.
B) confidently.
C) without mediation.
D) with precision.
答案:C
解析:第65行中“I ask directly because the use of a go-between takes much time.”
Akira came directly, breaking all tradition. Was
that it? Had he followed form—had he asked his
mother to speak to his father to approach a
go-between—would Chie have been more receptive?
8. As used in line 2, “form” most nearly means
A) appearance.
B) custom.
C) structure.
D) nature.
Akira “came directly, breaking all tradition.”
