第一步，根据题目定位原文。
Student：What’s prep work?
Manager：You prepare food for the cooks. You know, like cutting up vegetables for soup, or cleaning greens for salads.
第二步，根据内容选择答案。文章中通过学生像管理者询问备餐员主要是干什么的(What’s prep work?)，然后管理员回答说prepare food for the cooks可以看出学生的工作就是为厨师准备食料。可以确定答案为A选项。在听力中出现问答的地方，同学们都应该给予重视。
第三步，进行验证。在托福听力中正确选项都是对原文的同义替换或者改写，例如在本题中prepare food和Get ingredients ready就是同义替换，因此可以确定是正确答案。
