On Thursday I had my graduation ceremony, where I was awarded the certificate for my Computing Science degree course. It was a really good day, and the weather was good too. In fact, the only bad thing was that after I had put my gown on, we all had to stand outside the hall in the baking heat until our ceremony started. In the actual ceremony, they called each student onto the stage one by one. My Mum and Dad were in the main hall watching me. After the ceremony, we had photos taken, and then there was an after party held in a marquee outside, where we were given wine or orange juice and a few bite size snacks.

Paris, city of fashion: Paris and fashion go together like bread and butter, wine and cheese, two peas in a pod, etc.... The list of clichés can go on forever. As Gertrude Stein stated it in her 1940 novel Paris France, “It was in Paris that the fashions were made.” True, thinking of fashion designers brings about many French names, such as Chanel, Louis Voitton, Jean Paul Gaultier. As far as anyone can remember, Paris has always been the fashion capital of the world. Perhaps it is the designer coutures that dot every major street corner or the hundreds of beautiful people that walk up and down the tree-lined streets everyday. Or maybe it is because of the runway shows and photo shoots that occur everyday. And perchance it is not just that the fashion business is in Paris, but that the Parisians are fashionable. They do not have to try to be fashionable, they just are.
Food: I love French exotic foods. I had tried many French foods while I was traveling in France a few years ago. The garlic frog leg and grill escargot in herb and butter are fantastic. Lunches with the skinny beget bread and duck liver pâtés with a glass of red wine is great. I love French pâtés.

Postcards of Japan show skyscrapers. I like shopping and lavish affair with glorious food capture my interests. The upscale shopping malls and boutiques in Ginza Tokyo (东京银座) make the city unique. Also, it would be pretty cool that Disneyland in Tokyo has a program whereby my friends and I can celebrate birthday in the Magic Kingdom. Besides, I love Kaiseki-ryori. It combines the best of Japanese foods, such as sushi, sashimi and tempura. It is the pinnacle of Japanese cuisine.
