6. Abundant adj. 大量的，充裕的
【例】Cities today no longer enjoy abundant land resources to double their GDP every year through feverish real estate development. 城市今天不再享有充裕的土地资源，帮他们通过狂热的房地产开发让GDP每年翻番。
大量的，许多，是托福写作的绝对高频词汇，300字内保守要出现4次。如果你在同一篇作文中这个词每次出现的时候，都换用不同的英文词来表达，不要一个many 到底 L. 除了abundant, 还可以用 plentiful(足够的多)， ample(充足，充分)，bountiful (慷慨的，大量的)。
7. Discrepancy n. 差异，矛盾，不一致，亏损
【例】The strong morale appeal in this argument cannot disguise the apparent discrepancy in this argument. 迎合大众道德的强烈色彩，不能掩盖这个论证中明显的矛盾之处。
大作文要写得好，一定要做好驳论。写驳论的时候，直指对方的discrepancy是一剑封喉的做法。例句可以直接放在驳论段的开头使用。
8. Discretion n. 谨慎，分辨力
【例】However, this argument deserves deeper examination with discretion. 然而，这个论点需要谨慎的深入检视。We ask the ruling party to treat this sensitive issue with discretion. 我们要求执政党谨慎的对待这个敏感的时间。
用with discretion 来替代carefully，功力立现。
9. Incline vi. 倾向于，喜爱
【例】I strongly incline to the view that one should take part time jobs in high school. 我持的观点是高中时候应该打工。He was inclined to a career in literature due to his strong passion in books. 他因对图书的热爱而倾向跟文学有关的职业。
开篇表明立场的时候，要替代I believe, I hold the view的话，用incline这样的词可以无伤大雅的拽一下文，效果也仅限于拽文。类似可以替换的词有，favor (喜爱，偏爱)，prefer(更喜欢)，take the side of(支持), dispose(倾向于，有意于，be disposed to), be gravitated toward (倾向于，被地心引力吸引一般)。
10. Assiduous adj. 勤奋的，有恒心的
【例】Only the most assiduous students can ace the Chinese national college entrance exam to get admitted by the top universities. 只有最勤奋的学生才能在中国高考中取得高分，进入顶尖大学。She tended her vegetable garden with assiduous attention。她勤劳地耕种自己的菜园。
当你想到hard working的时候，请你停一下，用assiduous, diligent(勤奋刻苦的), industrious(勤劳的，更偏向于体力劳动，千万别说study industriously)，bustling(熙熙攘攘的，忙乱的，像群蜂采蜜一样，场景感极强的一个形容忙碌勤劳的词汇)。
