第二项任务叫独立写作。这个题目考查的形式和要求与原来老托福考试的写作部分没有太大差异。考生被要求在30分钟内针对某个问题提出自己的观点或看法并给出相应的理由或事例进行论证。通常一篇高分文章，字数都在300字以上。
