Quasars, at billions of light-years from Earth the most distant observable objects in the universe, believed to be the cores of galaxies in an early stage of development.
A believed to be

C some believe them to be

分析：
Quasars,是主语，at billions of light-years from Earth the most distant observable objects in the universe前后都是逗号，所以连带逗号和中间的部分都是插入语成分，believed 是谓语动词，动词的ed分词形式有两种理解，一种是表示过去的谓语动词，另一种就是表示被动，所以这里我们需要判断是被动语态还是过去时， galaxies 是宇宙的意思，那么Quasars的意思就可能是某种行星，那么believed 就不能理解成过去形式，只能当做是动词的ed分词形式表被动，这里用了非谓语动词充当动词形式。看五个选项，CDE可以排除，因为我们句子当中是有主语Quasars的，所以some 和it is 是不对的。剩下A和B选项，既然句子的主语不能主动的发出believed这个动作，那么A选项只能认为是非谓语动词。所以就剩下B选项。
正确句子：
Quasars, at billions of light-years from Earth the most distant observable objects in the universe, are believed to be the cores of galaxies in an early stage of development.
验证：
Quasars是句子的主语，are believed 是句子的谓语，to be the cores是宾语，of galaxies in an early stage of development介词短语做定语修饰cores 。
例6：
While all states face similar industrial waste problems, the predominating industries and the regulatory environment of the states obviously determines the types and amounts of waste produced, as well as the cost of disposal.

分析：
While引导一个从句，从句当中的主语是all states，谓语是face。宾语是similar industrial waste problems，主句主语是 the predominating industries and the regulatory environment， of the states是介词短语做定语就近修饰environment，obviously是副词，做的是谓语动词的状语，这里的 determines 是主句当中的谓语，既然主句的主语是the industries and the environment这种A and B的结构，很明显谓语动词应该是复数形式，我们看五个选项。Determines的都排除就剩下B和E。对比两者之间的差别，B选项出现了their predominant ，既然出现了their，那么前面出现可数名词的复数才可以，但是前面却是 each state，既然是 each state，那就不是复数，所以B排除。
正确句子：
While all states face similar industrial waste problems, the predominant industries and the regulatory environment of each state obviously determine the types and amounts of waste produced, as well as the cost of disposal.
验证：
While 引导一个从句，从句的主语是all states，谓语是face ，industrial waste problems是宾语。这是从句的主谓宾，接下来我们看一下主句当中的主谓宾，主语是the predominant industries and the regulatory environment，谓语是determine，the types and amounts是宾语，最后的as well as the cost of disposal.是as well as 连接的并列成分the cost of disposal与the types and amounts并列。
