综合口语task5专项练习

一.导入
首先，让我们来回顾一下上一节课中所说的内容，task5中只有对话，没有阅读文章，对话双方往往对针对其中一方遇到的问题而产生对话，考生在作答的时候需要说明问题和解决问题的建议，以及自己的选择。托福口语task5的答题结构包括以下部分，分别是概括问题，说明两种解决方法，在这一部分并不需要指出利弊，只需要说明解决方案是什么，最后选择一种解决方案并说明。这个题目的答题步骤是可以分成四步，分别是step1,summarize the problem;step2, summarize two solutions; step3, choose one solution; step4,list the reasons.
二例题
(一)TPO8TASK5
step1, summarize the problem
首先，我们来看看问题，Briefly summarize the problem the speakers are discussing. Then state which solution you would recommend. Explain the reasons for your recommendation.其中准备时间是20秒，答题时间是60秒。
然后，我们回到听力文章中，There’s still a big conflict in my course schedule. 指出了自己遇到的问题。从这句话中我们可以概括出来，Steve has a problem with his course schedule.
然后在下文中，Steve说这是自己的最后一个学期了，但是自己还有两门必修课，要上的两门课分别是小说史，另一门是莎士比亚，紧接着，他说了自己的问题Problem is the two courses meet at the same time!。由此，我们可以概括出In the conversation, the man has a problem with his course schedule that the two required courses-history of novel and Shakespeare meet at the same time.
step2, summarize two solutions;
接着，在下文中具体讲到了解决方案，第一种是自己和莎士比亚老师谈过了，老师允许他自学;第二种是可以去另一个学校学习文学课程。因此我们就可以总结一下这两种解决方案。There are two solutions to solve the problem: The first solution is to finish Shakespeare independently, and the second solution is to go to another university to have the Shakespeare class.
step3, choose one solution;
首先，我们来看看第一种解决方案优劣势
Solution1-advantages
从文中可以总结出这种方案的优势是自己有问题的时候可以去找他们，而且和教授交谈的感觉很好。
Solution1-disadvantages
这个方案的问题是自学的话就不会让自己有动力去完成人物，有可能把事情拖延了。
因此，可以汇总为优势：Can discuss problems with the professor;劣势Can’t motivate himself finish the work on time may put is off
然后，我们再来看看第二种解决方案的优势和不足
Solution1-advantages
这个学校的文学课程很好，而且我们学校接受这个学校的学分。
Solution2-disadvantages
不足之处，是离这里比较远，浪费时间和gas，金钱
step3, state your recommendation
I would like to suggest him to choose the first solution and my reasons are listed as below.

You know that doing an independent study on Shakespeare ensures that he can gain the same credit, besides, it is such a great chance for him to talk with the professor, so that he can even learn more.
While if he chooses the second solution to go to another university to have the Shakespeare class, time will be wasted on the commute, three times a week, half an hour to go there and half an hour to come back, you know, those time could be spent on study.
二.常见问题
1.概括问题不具体
以刚才的题目为例，有的学生会这样作答。The man has a problem with his course schedule.或者是The man has a conflict in his course schedule.
2.总结方式啰嗦
There are two possible solutions he can adopt to solve the problem, the first one is that his Shakespeare professor allows him to have an independent study to get the same credit and he can talk with the professor when he has a problem, but he is afraid that his work may be put off ,and he may become less motivated when he does such independent study.
The second solution is that he can go to another university to have the Shakespeare class to gain the same credit, and that university has a really great literature program, but it will take him a lot of time to get there and come back, almost three times a week, half an hour to go there and half an hour to come back.在组织解决方案的时候只需要说是什么，不需要说优劣势。
3.理由不全面
It will be a wise choice for him to do an independent study, because if he goes to another university, he has to waste a lot of time on the way, which could be spent on study.
